My first introduction to microdermabrasion was when I was trying to rid myself of a mild, but persistent case of adult acne. These treatments use very fine crystals to remove and then vacuum up the top layer of skin cells, getting rid of the blackheads and bacteria. I started with the professional treatments and when I started to see results I definitely wanted to keep going, especially when I saw that they did more for more skin than just treat the acne. I just didn’t want to continue to pay those professional prices.
