Find Out How To Pick Out The Home Microdermabrasion Kit That Is Right For You

Trial and Error When Using Home Microdermabrasion Kits – Part 2

Part 1 of this article can be found here.

So you’ve decided you want a better complexion but don’t want to spend the money on professional microdermabrasion treatments. That means buying the right home kit for you. You have a lot of choices, some more expensive than others, some with more features than others. While price may have to play a part in your decision, you need to look at some other aspects as well.

One kit may not provide the same results for each user. Some promise to improve skin tone and reduce redness, while others say they can do that plus reduce fine lines and wrinkles and even fade old acne scars. Some of the bigger name brands like Dermanew and Neutrogena are capable of all of these things. They have applicator tools and sponge applicators to apply the crystallized microdermabrasion creams. Others like Mary Kay TimeWise and Olay Regenerest Microdermabrasion and Peel system work without an applicator and don’t promise the same results. The cream is applied by hand.

Another thing to think about is how sensitive your skin is. Since these kits can cause breakouts (this is discussed in Part 3 of this article), some of these home kits, like Dermanew, have a kit especially with someone who has sensitive skin in mind. They even have a kit for those with acne-prone skin.

The cream is really the most important part of the kit. The best kits use crystals that are made with aluminum oxide crystals, the same crystals that professional use. The hardness of these crystals gives the bests peeling effect.

Part 3 of this article talks about how to properly use your kit with overdoing the microdermabrasion.
