Home Microdermabrasion for Your Body
I’ve talked a lot to friends and blog readers about how great microdermabrasion is for repairing skin problems. Whether done at a dermatologist’s office, a spa, or at home, you can vastly improve the look of the skin on your face. It can help get ride of mild acne, fade age spots, shrink your pores, and minimize fine wrinkles that we get thanks to Father Time. After learning to appreciate the benefits of microdermabrasion, I got to thinking about other problem areas on my body and wondered if you could do microdermabrasion below the neck!
Once again, I went to the trusty Internet and discovered that the answer is yes! Microdermabrasion can give your whole body that healthy glow that your face gets after treatments. But it can also work on specific problem areas, too, like stretch marks (yuck). Even though these nasty things are hard to get rid of with any kind of treatment, apparently the minor (and planned) irritation that microdermabrasion causes can encourage the production of enough new collagen to eventually fade those little annoyances. Apparently microdermabrasion works better on your body for reducing fine wrinkles than even the exfoliants that I use every other time I shower or bathe.
As far as home kits for the body, not very many manufacturers of microdermabrasion systems make them. One of the few home kits for the body is the Dermanew Body system. The formula they use for the cream used in the process is a little stronger and the whole treatment is a little more aggressive. Because of this, you need know that you can’t use the body system on your face. It is way too harsh for the delicate skin on your face and neck.
